I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I attended the University of Utah for my undergraduate work where I received a bachelor's degree in behavioral science and health. Upon graduation I immediately entered the physician assistant program at the University of Utah where I received a master's degree in physician assistant studies. I then moved to Chicago, Ill where I completed a urological surgery residency and worked in a private practice for the next two years which I enjoyed very much.
The arrival of my first daughter prompted a move back to Utah to be closer to extended family where I began work at LDS hospital in urology. After 3 years I was offered a position at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital to work in their urological oncology program which I accepted and have continued to work there. While at Huntsman, my wife and I welcomed our second daughter to our family and they have been the joys of my life ever since.
While working in specialty care I found that I wanted to continue to grow and learn in primary care as well. I began working at Jordan Meadows and Hunter Medical centers in the fall of 2012 and have been very happy with my experiences here. I have enjoyed seeing a variety of patients with different medical needs.
In my spare time I enjoy running, biking, hiking with my family, and oil painting.
